Procalmation of The Pink

Procalmation of The Pink

On October 11th, 2022 the City Hermosa Beach officially proclaimed October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As a step forward in supporting and recognizing the importance of this month, they lit up Pier Plaza in pink lights for the whole month.

"Now, therefore, I, Michael Detoy, Mayor of the City of Hermosa Beach do hereby proclaim October 2022 as Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the City of Hermosa Beach. The City is proud to join the fight to end cancer and 1 encourage citizens, private businesses, non-proft organizations, and interested groups to join in activities that will increase awareness of what Americans can do to prevent and control breast cancer, and pay tribute to those who have lost their lives to this disease."

As a survivor, my mission is to spread awareness and provide support for those affected. Our efforts, no matter how big or small, make an impact in our community, with the hopes and goals to help a patient in need and to one day, find a cure.
