October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and it’s about more than just raising awareness, it’s about sharing stories of strength, support and hope. Dana Richards knows that journey firsthand. As a breast cancer survivor, she turned her own experience into a mission to help others. She founded the local nonprofit Butterfly Strong Foundation to ensure women going through breast cancer feel supported, both emotionally and physically. Dana joined us to share her journey and discuss the Hermosa in Pink: Light the Night Pink event taking place at the Hermosa Beach Pier on Oct. 1.
